ASASI is proud and delighted to introduce one of the guest speakers for the Prisoners Rights portion of our Access to Justice campaign, YB Nurul Izzah Anwar, the current MP for Permatang Pauh!
Prior to entering politics, YB Nurul Izzah earned her Masters’ Degree from the School for Advanced International Studies, Johns Hopkins University studying International Relations (with a specialisation in Southeast Asia Studies). She received her Bachelors’ Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Universiti Tenaga Nasional, graduating in 2004, two days after her father, Anwar Ibrahim, was released from six years of politically-motivated imprisonment.
